COACH SCOTT HUNT
I grew up in Murray, Utah and attended Murray High School. There I participated in football and basketball. After graduating from high school I attended Dixie College for one year prior to serving a mission in the South Korea, Seoul mission. After my mission I attended the University of Utah where I graduated in 1987. I met my wife Tanya while attending the “U” and was married in 1987 as well. I have spent my career as an educator and was a high school teacher and taught science and P.E. for 12 years before earning a Master’s Degree from Utah State University in School Counseling and have spent the last 17 years in that capacity. I have loved my career and thoroughly enjoy spending my days with the youth of our community. I have been most fortunate to be involved in coaching high school students for the past 33 years and I have loved every minute of it. I have been lucky enough to have coached 5 state championship teams throughout the years. My teams have won four state championships in basketball (1998, 2006, 2011, and 2012) and one in baseball in 1999. Our teams have also won 12 Region Championships in basketball including ten in a row from 2006-2015. I have been involved in coaching a variety of high school sports including football, basketball, baseball and track. I feel it an honor and a privilege to be involved in the lives of our youth in all aspects of their lives; school, sports, church and community. |
