Coach Elliott Jordan was born and raised in Springville, Utah. He was a standout player for Springville High School and led them to their last boys basketball State Championship in 1958. After high school Coach Jordan attended BYU and played basketball there before graduating with the intent of teaching and coaching as his chosen profession. He landed his first coaching position at Park City High School and was the head coach for all boys sports from 1965-67. He then moved on to southern Utah and took a position at Parowan High School where he worked as the boy's Head Basketball and Baseball coach form 1967-69. After the two-year stint in southern Utah, Coach Jordan had the opportunity to return to his alma-mater at Springville High School and coach a variety of sports including track, baseball and football as well as the Head Coaching position with both the boys and girls basketball programs. Coach Jordan won two girls basketball State Championships while at Springville High School. He retired from teaching in 1995 after teaching and coaching at Springville from 1969-1995. In 2002 Coach Jordan found himself in Monroe, Utah and had the opportunity to assist Coach Randy Madsen with the South Sevier High School girls basketball program until 2008. There he was a vital component of teams that played for the 2A state championship an astonishing 5 times in seven years finishing as State Champs twice.
Coach Elliott Jordan has spent 40 years coaching young men and women and brings his exceptional knowledge and talent to Bear River High School. We are fortunate to have someone with his breadth of experience on our coaching staff!
